MOESOF® LLC has released a second generation of their Motorcycle Endurance Seat. Endurance Seats dramatically increase the volume of available seating material by holding two foam cylinders in place on either side of an existing motorcycle seat. Structure

A MOESOF Endurance Seat consist of two foam cylinders captured by a series of straps arranged in a webbing like structure. When laid across the top of an existing seat the MOESOF foam cylinders dramatically increase the volume of seating foam available to a rider vs. the foam of the existing seat alone.

The second generation Endurance Seat is shorter than the previous version to create more clearance when standing.

MOESOF uses their own reinforced ergonomic EPP foam cylinders. The load bearing straps are made of heavy polyester because of its resistance to stretching. And the anchors are made of sheathed flat bungee cord for its range of elasticity and longevity. The GEN 2Endurance Seats are held in place with four gutter hooks clipped under the seat pan of the existing seat and install or uninstall in seconds.

Function

MOESOFEndurance Seat create a bridge between rider and seat, a boundary layer designed to modify how the two forces of rider weight and seat compression interact. MOESOF’s patented Dual Loop Strap design works in concert with their foam cylinders. Rider weight applied to the top of an Endurance Seat will try to force the foam cylinders downward under compression. The straps that capture the foam cylinders resist this movement and experience tension. The result is a surprisingly rigid truss-like structure between rider and seat. This structure clamps down around the existing seat supporting it, effectively re-directing the load to come to rest against both the tops and the sides of the existing seat.

Gutter hooks replace a Velcro mounting system for stability and a cleaner look.

A seat with more surface area to sit on would sag without more surface area to support it. MOESOF EnduranceSeats find this additional supporting surface by exploiting the previously unused vertical surfaces of the side of the existing seat. This is how MOESOF creates the foundation of support to keep Endurance Seats flat and firm under load and over time.

Endurance and Safety

MOESOFEndurance Seats add real width to narrow seats and firmness to overly soft wide seats, removing pressure points and more evenly distributing loads out to a rider’s hips and thighs.
